On Christmas day in 1936 she married Harry Cheyne and they made their home in Fort Smith for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith for over 70 years. Nelle had many happy, active years, as a wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend in her much loved hometown. She was a faithful Christian, a loyal friend and loved her family with all her heart. Nelle taught us many things throughout the years and for all of us she was a wonderful example of how to age with dignity, grace, laughter and love. We miss her already.
