Nina June Coker, 91, of Fort Smith, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025. She was born on October 18, 1933, in Dallas, TX to the late Henry J. Slawson and Ann Mae Fairchild Slawson. Before retiring, Nina worked for many years at the Red Barn Steakhouse as a waitress. She was a member of Bokoshe United Methodist Church in Bokoshe, OK. In addition to her parents, Nina is preceded in death by her husband, Royal T. Coker and her brother, Albert Slawson.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Ragan (Robin) of Heavener, OK; three sons, Grant Coker, Keith Coker, and Mark Coker (Wynema), all of Fort Smith. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Michael Bain (Ashley), Nathan Bain (Leslie), Ethan Coker (Cassie), Zac Coker, Mathew Coker (Angie) and Robbie Coker, along with eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside service will be 11:00 am Friday, July 18, 2025 at the committal shelter of the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
