Nola Ione Barnett, 95, of Fort Smith, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. She was born on April 25, 1928 to the late William and Grace Diehl McKenzie. Nola was a homemaker and a member of Park Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne D. Barnett.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the pavilion of the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her son, Ken Barnett of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Kimberly Holman (Nicholas) of Van Buren and Kellie Deer of Alma, along with four great grandchildren; Olivia Holman, Lincoln Holman, Joshua Deer and Mckenzie Deer.
Public viewing will be from 12:00pm to 5:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
