Norman Matthew Johnson

Norman Matthew Johnson, 68, of Pocola, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was born on January 25, 1954 in Fort Smith to the late John and Beatrice Johnson. Norman was a retired welder for United Fabricators. He loved car racing at Tri-State Speedway and professional wrestling. Norman loved his grandchildren, he was their “Papa.” In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Randy Johnson and a step-son, Jonathan Nogues.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Woodlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral home.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, of the home; a daughter, Lacey Jo Blue (Kenneth) of Arkoma; a son, Justin Johnson (Sha) of Springdale; a step-daughter, Jaimie Neal (Derek) of Pocola; a sister, Debbie Johnson-Dority (Wayne) of Pocola; two brothers, James Johnson (Samantha) and David Johnson (Jeanette), both of Pocola, along with eight grandchildren.

Family will visit with friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
