Olive Lee Stephens

Olive married Douglas Stephens, in 1966 and they spent 58 wonderful years together before Doug’s passing in 2024. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and creating lasting memories. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished sister.

Olive dedicated more than 30 years of service to Whirlpool, where she worked as an administrative assistant before retiring. She found happiness tending to her garden. She and Doug became well known for their strawberry patch, sharing pint after pint of fresh-picked strawberries each growing season with family and friends. Olive also loved spending time in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals that brought everyone together around the table.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas Stephens; her parents; and her siblings, Clinton Ray Marshall, Goldia Mae Beshoner, James Doyle Marshall, and Johnie Sue Wood.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Stacy Stephens; her granddaughter, Addi Stephens; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 5:30-7:30pm at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. A graveside service will take place at Blue Mountain Cemetery, in Blue Mountain, Arkansas on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 10:00am.
