

Paul Gene Hamilton, 84 of Fort Smith hit a hole in one when he crossed into Heaven on Wednesday, November 25th. He was born August 2, 1936 in Yukon, Oklahoma to Loy and Mabel Low Hamilton. He was the youngest of 6 children.
He retired from Trane, Inc in 2001, after 42 years of service. He was an active member of Cavanaugh Freewill Baptist Church where he had many friends and loved sharing daily Bible studies and his love for Jesus! He was a long-time member of Fianna Hills Country Club, and if you had known Paul for any length of time, you definitely knew he was an avid golfer. He enjoyed his days on the golf course, spending time with his buddies, jabbing, joking and having a good time.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis, a son, David and his wife Kim of Olathe, Kansas; daughters, Jeanie Solley and her husband, Keith, of Fort Smith, Dena Wann and her husband, Doug, of Hinton, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; Justin Hamilton and his wife Erin, of DeSoto, Kansas, Ryan Solley and his wife, Jessi, of Fort Smith, Rachel Jorgenson and her husband, Shaun of Neenah, Wisconsin, Andrea Binley and her husband, Trent, of Eastvale, California and Chance Gattis of Hinton, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren; Ellarie and Micah Hamilton and Sadie Solley; numerous nieces and nephews, and many great friends.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, November 30, 2020, at Cavanaugh Freewill Baptist Church, with Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Viewing will be Sunday, from 10 AM – 5 PM at Edwards Funeral Home, and the family will be present from 2-4 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cavanaugh Freewill Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2825 Grinnell Avenue, Fort Smith, AR 72908.
Pallbearers will be Keith Solley, Ryan Solley, Justin Hamilton, Doug Wann, Chance Gattis and Ben Goode. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his Golf Buddies.
Special Thank You to the Nurses and Doctors in the Mercy COVID ICU Unit for the great care and love of our Dad. We will be forever grateful.
