Raymond Fairchild

Raymond Fairchild, 76, of Fort Smith, passed from this life January 8, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born May 19, 1939, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to the late Theodore and Sara Strauser Fairchild. Raymond was a language specialist in the United States Air Force, fluent in Russian and Japanese. He retired from OK Industries as a Personnel Director and was a member at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; three sons, Greg Fairchild and his wife Delores of Maumelle, Arkansas, Michael Fairchild and his wife Anne of Springdale, Arkansas, and Chris Fairchild of Van Buren, Arkansas, as well six grandchildren, Tanner, Lily, Josh, Daniel, Catherine and Alex.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at U.S. National Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Monday, January 11, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
