Rebecca Sellars

She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She taught junior high science for 23 years, beginning in 1964. In 1988, she switched to teaching adult education in English, math, social studies, science and writing. She loved this form of education and later became a Circuit Teacher (teaching and promoting the GED Program to businesses, industries, schools, and government agencies, while carrying the classroom in the trunk of her car). Rebecca’s mother enjoyed gardening and loved her rose garden. It was a natural progression for Rebecca to become interested in gardening and landscaping. In 2002 she became a Lifetime Master Gardner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, John Michael Sellars.

She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Sellars Mann; her niece, Erin Sellars; and her sister-in-law, Jane Anne Sellars.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
