Robbie Bernice Boone

Robbie Bernice (Masterson) Boone was born February 6, 1934, to Iva and Monroe Masterson in Perry Bell, Oklahoma and left this world on January 8, 2026, in her home in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 91 years. She grew up in the Spiro, Oklahoma area with six brothers and five sisters. She married Jack Boone on February 14, 1953. They were married for over 71 years.

Jack and Robbie went on to have three children Jeff, Penny & Tammy, who in turn gave them four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother, always putting her family above all else.

Robbie worked as a dental assistant in Toledo, Ohio until Jack’s retirement and their subsequent move to Spiro, Oklahoma in 1979 to be near Robbie’s family. After their retirement they traveled all over the country on road trips, sometimes only being home long enough in-between to do their laundry and pack to leave again.

She was always a very hard worker. Robbie enjoyed home improvement projects and took satisfaction in maintaining and improving her home.

Robbie is survived by two daughters, Penny Bulgarella (John) of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and Tammy Shaw of Tampa, Florida. Two grandsons, Joshua Shaw (Angie) and Tony Bulgarella (Brittany). Two granddaughters Josie Merreighn and Christina Bulgarella. Two great grandsons Tyler & Trey (Madie) Merreighn and three great granddaughters Riley Czarnikow (Daylen) and Nina and Audrey Bulgarella and two great-great grandchildren, Elijah and Ella Czarnikow.

She was preceded in death by her parents Monroe and Iva Masterson; her husband, Jack Boone; son, Jeffrey Boone; five brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at Edwards Funeral Home, located at 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, Arkansas, 72901. The service is scheduled for January 14, 2026, starting at 10:00 am.
