Ill never forget the day that your family began moving into the house on 21st Street. I sat on the end of your porch and watched the procession of kids going into the house, and thought, "wow, is this gonna be fun". I was so right!! I love you all and still consider you to be my "brother's and sister's".
 My fondest memories of Robert would be that infectious smile and big heart. He always had a "hello" for everyone. Thank you for the memories!....and as Robert used to say, "Don't wreck"! You will always be in my heart.

I remember Robert and all of his family from grade school some 35 years ago,When I see his picture I do indeed remember him well,perhaps it is his smile, which was always present,that smile is now in heaven.Rest in Peace Robert and may God bless the entire Ulrich Family .

Robert knew how to comfort people by simply being a confidante and friend. Robert, I will see you, again one day soon and we can talk about seventh grade science. Love ya, my friend! I have tried to think of the right thing to say, to comfort the family, I'm at a loss for words. Just know this man has has touched so many lives and he will live on in those hearts forever. I was sad to hear of Robert's passing.  I have a lot of fond memories of Robert from our days at Darby and Northside, I would not even know where to begin. The one thing about Robert that stands out in my mind is his love for his kids, he was always talking about you guys.  The Ulrich Family will forever be in my thoughts and prayers. I met Robert in the 7th grade.  He was such a special person to me.  Every memory I have of my teenage years seems to have Robert in it.  Skating, skate boarding, swimming or just spending time together talking.  He made such an impact on my life. I pray that God surrounds your family with peace and comfort.  Robert's parting words to me were always Don't wreck, so in his word Don't wreck Robert, I'll see you in heaven.

Robert will be missed very very much. He was a good friend. Everytime I ran into him he was always happy and full of life. Had a laugh that will never be forgot. I met Robert when I started at St. Boniface. We were in 5th grade.He, Joey Mendoza & Scott Lensing rode their skateboards to my house. Way back then I thought he was the most gorgeous boy I had ever met. I can tell from the pictures that he was still that gorgeous boy I met 35 years ago. We reunited at NHS in 1980. I got to be part of seeing him onstage as "Nathan Detroit" from Guys & Dolls. We had lost touch over the years. And I am very saddened by his passing.
I know how it feels to lose a brother and a parent. I pray for the Ulrich family--for strength. Remember the good times--when he was well, laughing & running down the soccer field or throwing the frisbee, or even riding the skateboards. He is cradled in the arms of God--suffering no more--finally at peace and keeping watch over you. Jer. 29:11

For the Ulrich family...What moves through all of us when we lose someone we love, is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why Robert left this earth so soon or why he left before we were ready to say goodbye, but in time we will remember - not just that he is gone, but that he lived. His life gave us memories to beautiful to ever forget. I love ya bro. Farewell my dear friend, until we meet again.

As Trent and Rachel's 1st soccer coach, I'll never forget his ability to "connect" with a group of rowdy 5 year olds.  The sight of him picking up a child after they had scored, laughing and running as fast as he could with them back to midfield will forever be in my memory. It was a wonderful experience for my kids...one we all will never forget. Thanks "Coach" for all that you did!

Forever and always in my heart! You will be missed.

Robert was a blessed man to have such a loving family support him through his illness. It's wonderful he gave one last time to Medical Science and maybe with that act he will help find a cure to the disease that took him early in his life.

Our dear Robert, how we will miss him.  My earliest memory of Robert was way before I met the rest of the family.  Gwen Hulse and I always went to Creekmore Park to swim and these two adorable little dark headed boys were always there, too.  Gwen and I and whomever else was with us would make an underwater tunnel for these two cute little boys to swim through.  

As I married into the family and eventually divorced, my heart was always there with all of the brothers and sisters, especially Libby and Robert.

I'll miss him dearly.
