Roger Wayne Wood

Roger Wayne Wood 49, of Barling, AR, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 in a local hospital. He was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, son, and friend. He was a dedicated employee of St. Edward Mercy Medical Center for the past 17 years.

He is survived by his wife; Linda Wood, 3 sons; Jeremy and Dakota Wood, of the home, and Matthew Wood of Barling, 2 stepsons; Brandon Getz of the home and John Getz of Barling, 1 stepdaughter; Dara Lansdell and husband Jamie, of Van Buren, AR, 1 granddaughter; Heidi Lansdell of Van Buren, AR. He is also survived by his parents; Charles and Juanita Wood of Barling, AR, 1 brother; Larry Wood of Barling, AR, and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was also very close to his in-laws, Rodney and Lula Hayden.

Funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Friday, June 11, 2010, at First Southern Baptist Church of Central City, with burial in Mayberry cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 10, 2010, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Steve Walker, David Harris, Jason Wood, Ronnie Walker, Rick and Sam Hayden.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Larry Wood, Matthew Wood, John Getz, Brandon Getz, Jeremy Wood, and Dakota Wood.
