As I sit here and reflect on the weeks that have gone by it hit me that you are really gone. By now, on Saturday, at 5 I would be bringing the girls over to your house and we would get to have our little talks about things that have been going on. You would joke with the girls and they would roll their eyes, but they absolutely loved it. We are so devastated by the loss, but so thankful for those little jokes. They meant the world to us. Your love for your family never wavered. As I looked through pictures for your service there was one word that reminded me of you: Present. You were there for births, birthdays, graduations, sicknesses, proms, and deaths. However, this doesn’t even come close to how present you were. I just knew that the diagnosis wouldn’t stop you from being present and for the most part it didn’t. I felt that you would overcome, but unfortunately it was time. It was truly a blessing that we got to have those last few days with you so that we could return the favor and be present. Despite the pain that you were dealing with in the hospital, you gave us laughter, you gave us advice, and most of all you gave us love. I will never forget you and I know that you are watching over us in heaven.
Your daughter and friend,
Beth

Dad was my best friend. We did everything together. I have so many great memories of him but wanted to create so many more. My Dad was taken from us way to soon. He was the best Dad a son could ever wish for. And he loved his family so much. Family was my Dad’s reason for living. Everything he did, he did for us kids and my Mom. I will never forget you Dad. You will be with me every single day just like you promised me you would be. And I promise you I’ll make you proud. I’ll take care of Mom, Beth & Zach, and the grandkids. That I can promise you. I love you soo much Dad! I just know you are dancing in Heaven with your Mom and Dad and know you were so ready to see you Mom again because she’s been gone so long. Don’t do anything up there I wouldn’t do, and when you’re free try to come down and lighten our days a little, because they are going to be much darker without you around. I love you and miss you so much Dad!
With all my Love,
Your Son,
Brock
