Born in Brooklyn, New York on February 3, 1934, to Jack and Miriam (Leider) Karron, and a graduate of New York University in Syracuse, New York, he moved his family to Denver, Colorado in the early 1960’s to further his long career in the Financial Planning and Life Insurance businesses. He served in executive positions with many companies in Denver, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Houston and finally retired with his wife, Kristin Karron, in Fort Smith in 1999.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kristin Karron, of the home, his sons Michael Karron of Soldotna, Alaska and Edwin Shaver (Veronica) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and daughters Lee Maher (Christopher) of Arvada, Colorado, and Melissa Karron of Fort Smith. He was pre-deceased by another daughter, Michele Shaver of Fort Smith. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Ron is also survived by his sister, Regina Pomerantz (Erroll) of Woodland Hills, California and his brother, Ira Leider, of New York City. Ron had two sisters-in law, a loving brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and even great, great nieces and nephews.
As an avid hunter and fisherman in younger years, he loved the Colorado lifestyle. He loved trap/skeet shooting, reloading his own ammunition and many firearms that he treasured. As a die-hard Republican, Ron didn’t miss an opportunity to have a conversation (argument) with anyone regarding politics or anything else he believed in. He thought everyone should agree with his point of view!
He will be cremated under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith and a Celebration of his life will be held at a later date to be announced by his family.
