

In her home, in the company of her children, Rose Marie Latta, age 86, peacefully departed on October 5, 2014. She was born on November 16, 1927 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Stephen and Bertha Gross. She married Ronald Lee Latta on June 13, 1949.
Rose attended Saint Boniface Elementary School, Saint Anne’s High School, and St. Mary’s College in Xavier, KS. She then moved to New York to pursue a career in theater, attending the Joseph Geiger School of Acting.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years, Ronald Lee Latta. She is survived by her children, Alicia Burks of Hot Springs, AR; Ann Borengasser and her husband, Jim, of Fort Smith; Ty Latta of Fort Smith; Kevin Latta and his wife, Kelly, of Irving, TX; Theresa Little and her husband, Tony, of Arlington, TX; Angela Knutzen and her husband, Steve, of Wichita, KS; Brant Latta and his wife, Heather, of Fort Smith, AR; Todd Latta of Fort Smith, AR; Kerry Roller and her husband Terry, also of Fort Smith, AR; eighteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Bettie McCabe, of Tulsa, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be said on Wednesday, October 8, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at Fentress Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, with burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery.
