

Rosemary Gross departed this world Wednesday afternoon, August 6. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1924, daughter of Archie and Debbie Livengood. She moved to North Carolina and met the girls who were her friends for 76 years. She was a sergeant in the US Army (WAC) during World War II. Rosemary was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, a wife for over 60 years, and a friend to many of the people of Fort Smith.
Rosemary is survived by her 6 children. Tony (Linda) of Henderson, NV, John (Sandy) of El Dorado, AR, Martha (Bill) Osbun of Fort Smith, AR, Mark (Carol) of West Fork, AR, Tim (Trish) of Ozark, AR, and David of Hackett, AR. Rosemary is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and her brother-in-law Morris Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, her sister Jackie Williams and 2 grandchildren, Corrie Gross Bechtelheimer and Benjaman Gross.
Rosemary’s wish was for memorials to be made in her honor at HOPE Landing, P.O. Box 10215, El Dorado, AR 71730 and The Gregory Kistler Center, 3304 South M Street, Fort Smith, AR 72903.
Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 11 at Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Smith, AR followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Pall Bearers will be Tony Gross, John Gross, Bill Osbun, Mark Gross, Tim Gross, David Gross, Brian Gross, and Stephen Gross
