Rosie M. Johnson, 91, passed from this life February 6, 2025. She was born May 16, 1933, in Tulsa, OK to Leo C. Vance and Jessie Lee Day Vance. She was raised by her mom, Jessie and grandmother, Mamie F. Day.
Rosie worked at several restaurants over the years: Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn South, Jan’s Restaurant, Regency Inn, and the Ramada Inn. She loved being a waitress and was pretty good at it.
She preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Johnson; her son, John William King; and her sister, Mattie Lee Beller and husband Tom.
Rosie is survived her son, James E. King of Turley, OK; granddaughter, Jennifer Aguinaldo and husband Tony of Denver, CO; three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Adrian Aguinaldo and great-granddaughter, Sierra Ruettgers; two in-laws, Don and Lajohnna Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 5 – 7 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Alan Whitson, Scott Ferrell, Mark Hadlock, Brad Kidder, Chuck Grams, and Earl Fears.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Ed Ward, Kirby Corbell, Larry Forsgren, and Ray Sehorn.
