Ruby Mae Walker

Ruby Mae Walker, 86 of Ft. Smith, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017. She was born December 20, 1930 in Sand Spring, OK to the late Roy and Lela Simmons. She formerly worked at Midland Bowl and enjoyed playing cards.

Cremation and private services are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

Ruby is survived by her husband Harve R. Walker of Ft. Smith, her daughter Sheila Rice of Ft. Smith, two sons; Mickey Sparks of Cummings, GA and Brad Walker of Ft. Smith, her sister Edith Sangster of Van Buren, and special friend Joel Price. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Tammy Sparks Whitehead, Teri Sparks Smith, Jake Vail, Lela Rice, Evan Walker and Erica Walker, and eight great grandchildren; Thomas Whitehead, Whitney Whitehead, Aedan Fry Sparks, Emerson Smith, Jaden Rice, Keileigh Macias, Colby Vail and Cade Vail.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place
