

Ruth Greigory Davis passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born January 22, 1931 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Lewis Calvin and Ruby Minor Greigory. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Clifford Ruffin Davis, three sisters, Juanita and Paul Wooten, Wanda and Bill Snow, and Toka Beall.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Bill Beall; and niece Brenda Manus of Fort Smith; and nephew, David, Carol, and Gracie Wooten of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was secretary for the Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company Engineering Department. She was an active member of Fort Smith First United Methodist Church serving as Lay Member of the North Arkansas and Arkansas Annual Conference for 23 years. Charter member of the Alter Guild, United Methodist Women's Circle Chairman, Secretary for the Council on Ministry Committee and Parish Relation Committees, Methodist Nursing Home Woman's Board President, and volunteer of the year in 1995, for the Bible Trivia at the home. Charter member of the Fort Smith Christian Women's Club, and first Prayer Advisor. Project Compassion and R.S.V.P volunteer, Secretary for the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast, Salvation Army Woman's Auxiliary and Pilot Club. She published "A Collection of Favorite Recipes Cookbook" and had several recipes published in national publications.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in Roebuck Chapel at First United Methodist Church. Family graveside will be at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends following the service in the Church Narthex.
