Sharon’s lifelong passion was that as an avid duplicate bridge player. She loved her weekly bridge games at the Fort Smith Duplicate Bridge Club. During the 80’s and 90’s, Sharon enjoyed traveling around the country participating in both large and small tournaments. In 2007, she placed 2nd in a world bridge tournament involving 12,000 players across 40 countries. Her love of bridge culminated in her earning a Gold Life Master level of achievement. She also enjoyed discovering new methods and techniques of acrylic painting and was an avid reader of books. Sharon also found time to work crossword puzzles and attend many local theater and music events. In a “just because I can” moment, at age 44, Sharon took several math courses including calculus at Westark Community College earning all A’s and was accepted into the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Fraternity recognizing scholarship.
Sharon “Mom” will be terribly missed by her family, but especially by Ron who calls her the “Rock” of his life. Our comfort is that we know she is at peace with Jesus.
