Shirley R. Beyerle

Shirley R. Beyerle, 90 of Van Buren, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021. She was born on January 4, 1931 in Sound Bend, Indiana to Lon J. Sr., and Ardell Holmes. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith, where she had also worked as a secretary. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women, she was a former secretary for the Studebaker Automobile Company in South Bend, Indiana. She and her husband Bob were also very active in the Backpack Program. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” William Beyerle; a sister, Lois Johnson and a brother, Lonnie Holmes, Jr.

There will be a private committal service with inurnment at the columbarium of First Presbyterian Church. Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by three sons, David Beyerle and his wife Debbie of Barling, Greg Beyerle and his wife Connie of Van Buren and Michael Beyerle and his wife Sharanna of Batesville and a sister, Phyllis Sorberg of Mishawaka, Indiana. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
