

Shirley Horn, 74, of Van Buren, passed into eternal life October 22, 2015 in Fort Smith. Shirley was born August 29, 1941, in Fort Smith, to the late W.B. and Joy Kilgore Carson. She lived in Fort Smith until moving to Van Buren in 2005. Shirley retired from Rainbow Country in 2007. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by her daughter, Tamara Westerman of Dover, Tennessee; her grandson, Eric David and his wife Kendra of Mayfield, Kentucky; five greatgrandchildren, Makenzie, Michael, Boden, Lucas and Alex; her sister, Theresa Bradley of Enola, Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Carson of West Palm Beach, Florida, as well as three nieces, four great nieces and four great nephews. She was also preceded in death by two infant children, Stacy and Michael; her brother, Kenneth B. Carson and her companion and best friend, Henry R. White.
