When I started working with Stacey my kids were little. Now they are grown with children of their own. He was a friend, mentor, and fervent supporter to myself and my girls for over 20 years. I cannot possibly find enough words or even the right words to express how much he enriched our lives. His soul was bigger than anyone could imagine.

I’m sure he will find ‘perfect pitch’ in the choirs in heaven. God rest his soul. 

Stacey is such a big part of what WCC and UAFS mean to me.  His presence is huge on campus and in the community, and he will be forever remembered by every single person he met.  My fondest memories are of lunches with Stacey, Bev, and Sondra.   We honor you for all you gave to us and the community.

The world will be a lesser place without Stacey. What a kind sweet man he was. Thoughts and prayers🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

The legacy left behind here is one that any of us could be proud to have left.  The love and kindness he exhibited in life still shines in his  families eyes.

I know Stacy impacted thousands of students and assisted each in their personal and professional growth and development.   It has been an honor to know Stacey for the past 50 plus years.   His contributions to the community and the University will never be forgotten.

I will always remember the fun times  with Stacey while working at WCC. He was  always the most gracious, kindest and hardest working person to be around. He was the ambassador and face of the college. He was also a great role model as  a husband and father. Praying for his precious family. 

Stacey was a wonderful man and great figure at UAFS. He was a mentor to me as a leader during my leadership of the OACC club as a student. His presence will be greatly missed. My prayers and condolences to his wife and family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Sheila & the family.  I met Stacey & Sheila when they shopped at my late husbands store, The Gamut.   Stacey will be missed by many and wondeful memories will stay in our hearts forever.

I was very saddened to read of Stacey's death.  My sincere sympathy to all of you.  I well remember his help to me regarding dance in 70's and early 1980's.  May he rest in peace.

Stacey was unforgettable.   My momma Pauline worked for him back in the 80s and early 90s.   She told me so many stories of their hilarious adventures like being stuck in an elevator that was slowly falling.   When she was in the ICU he made me tell the nurses that he was my brother so he could visit her.  His friendship to her and his protection of her made her last years so enjoyable.   

I met Stacey through my work with the Miss Arkansas Pageant.  He was always kind.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Who was the heart of our community, Westark, and UAFS?  Having spent 30 years of my life working at the university, I could name quite a few dedicated people, but certainly one of those at the top of the list would have been Stacey Jones.  He gave his all and he was a friend to many.  From a Foundation Office standpoint, Lynn Nancarrow and I worked on many Season projects for him.  It was a privilege to know him. To his family, I send my condolences.

I had the pleasure of meeting Stacey through my sister Jennifer Smith. He was definitely a character and always loved to talk and joke and give opinions even when you didn’t ask. :) He was a great man and will truly be missed.  So sorry to hear this news and sorry for the family and friends. Sending prayers. 

The first person I met on my first day at Westark was Stacey. He served the college well and will be missed by everyone he encouraged. His presence was the face of our college.  He will be remembered and honored for his dedication and love for UAFS   

Prayers and all my sympathies to Sheila and the family.  Stacey was a treasured friend for 45 years.  We had an opportunity to spend an afternoon together a couple of years ago to reminisce and talk about the future.  He was one of the first leaders in my life to ever believe in me.  His influence and friendship will live on in my life and the life of so many others.  God Bless you my friend and brother.  Peace and love to Sheila and the family.

Sending love and prayers from Scranton, PA. Stacey was such a driving force of UAFS for the students. His connections to the community, his expansions to help the University grow, his continued support for all things Lions - were for the students. I know because I was one of those who got to work with Stacey as a student and then work with him as a colleague. His legacy will live on through the great work on the UAFS campus but also all of us around the country who saw him as a mentor and friend. While there is a lot to be sad of today, there is also a lot to be proud of as we look across the UAFS campus. Stacey, we thank you for that and will be forever grateful.

What a legacy Stacey has left in our region!  He was known and loved by all and has left a tremendous void.  Stacey was a friend, a cheerleader, an advocate, compassionate, and it was impossible to not laugh with all his witty Staceyisms.  Anyone who knew Stacey is  better for having him in their lives.  

UAFS will forever feel the impact of his hard work and dedication.  He was UAFS to so many of us and represents everything we love about our university.

May God give you peace and flood you with all of the incredible memories you shared.
