Stephen “Steve” David Glidewell, 60, of Fort Smith , died at home on February 21, 2013 . Steve was born November 17, 1952 to Frank Fuller and Modena Glidewell in Fort Smith . He graduated from Southside High School, and attended William Jewel College followed by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Steve was a lifetime member of Goddard United Methodist Church, and owner of Glidewell Toyota as well as Glidewell Marine. Steve volunteered with the Biblical Resources Study Center under Dr. Jim Flemming, which took him to Isreal three times between 1998-2001. He assisted in the construction of biblical gardens in Ein Karem, Jerusalem. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Fuller Glidewell, and his daughter, Jessica Leigh Glidewell, both of Fort Smith. Steve is survived by his mother, Modena Evelyn Glidewell and a sister, Dolores Pohle of Palm Desert, California. He is also survived by his children, Stephanie Sharp and her husband Michael of Fort Smith, Sydney Hunsicker of Little Rock, and the mother of his daughters, Robin Nordin and her husband Jan of Fort Smith. Grandchildren: Nicholas Sharp and Eleanor Sharp, and his Schnauzer, Frankie. A funeral service will be held in the Great Room of Goddard United Methodist Church, Tuesday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial will follow at Carolan Cemetery in Booneville. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Michael Sharp, Michael T. Webb, Michael L. Webb, James Owens, Jan Nordin, and Charlie Snyder. Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2013 , from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
