Thelma M. Taylor, 101, of Fort Smith, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, in Fort Smith. She was born February 22, 1916 in Foss, OK to the late Thomas and Birdie Tucker. She was a retired checker from Model Laundry, and a member of New Bethel Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Taylor. Thelma was a very sweet, kind and loving Christian lady.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at the U.S. National Cemetery Pavilion with burial to follow at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Atchison of Fort Smith; her grandson, Jake Atchison and wife Anna of Fort Smith; and three great grandchildren, Gracie, Annaston and Lydia.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
