Thomas Gideon Morris, Jr., 57, of Fort Smith went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 9, 2012. He was born June 10, 1954 in Atlanta, GA. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and a die-hard Razorback fan. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. He was a certified public accountant. He worked at Donrey Media for 10 years and Rheem Manufacturing Company for 21 years. He was member of AICPA and Arkansas Society of CPAs.
He was a member of Pottsville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Pottsville, AR. He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith with his family.
Visitation will be from 5:30pm to 7pm Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel followed by rosary at 7pm.
Funeral mass will be at 2pm on Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith with burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Morris, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joan; two daughters, Michelle Morris of Springdale, and Kristen Morris of Fort Smith; one son, Thomas Morris, III, of Fort Smith; his mother, Martha O’Neal Morris of Pottsville; a sister and brother-in-law, Rebekah and Joe Roberts of Magazine; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his nephews Chuck Becker, Richard Becker, Skyler McElroy, Jericho McElroy, Doug Schneider, and Mark Schneider.
