Thomas Harold Owens of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on 05 January 2022. He was born to Ruby Virginia Bonner Owens and Charles Alvin Owens on 15 February 1938 in Yell County Arkansas and was one of six siblings.
Harold was a retired general contractor and University of Arkansas graduate who enjoyed fishing, working on a variety of projects and was passionate about baseball, the Razorbacks and getting to know people.
He is survived by a son, Barry Owens and his wife (Jana) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, three grandsons, Henry Owens and his wife (Molly) of Maumelle, AR, Jack Owens of Amelia, VA and Grady Owens and his wife (Hannah) of Amelia, VA. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Judy F. Owens of Fort Smith AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and a son, Dr. John Fraser Owens.
Harold was always willing to help out friends or strangers in times of need and he will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday at Roebuck Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
