She was born March 22, 1923 to George and Lillie Owens in Waldron, AR. She is survived by her son Gary Leeper (Kathleen) of Ft Smith; 3 grandchildren Mary Harp (Douglas)of Holiday Island, Chris Leeper of Ft Smith, and Wendy Enloe (Sean) of San Diego; 6 great granddaughters; her sister in law, Bettye LaBorn of Ft Smith, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
She made each person in her life feel special. Mema spent her final years in the loving care of her granddaughter Mary in Holiday Island. She loved the attention she got from Lido and her lap buddies, Benny and Heidi. She was an avid reader, bird watcher, and Golden Girls expert. She will be missed beyond measure, but can now be with the love of her life, her late husband Dale.
The Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 22, at 10:00am at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with visitation an hour prior, at 9:00am. Burial to follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery
