

Waltraud “Wally” Haskins, 84, of Fort Smith, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012, in Fort Smith. She was born April 7, 1927 in Sandhulbe, Czechoslovakia to the late Rudolph and Anna Effenberger. She was a housewife and mother. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Rosary will be 7:00 PM Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 13, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Greg Luyet officiating. Burial will at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Joseph P. Haskins, five daughters Roswitha Goodman and husband Ron of Fort Smith, AR, Irene Haskins Barbour and husband Dennis of Hackett, AR, Waltraud Amelia Phillips and husband Tom of Fort Smith, AR, Josephine Miller and husband Jack of Muldrow, OK and Mary Scott and husband Ernie of Fort Smith, AR, two sisters Angelia Stariler and Erika Just both of Germany, three brothers Dolfi, Rudolph and Herman Effenberger all of Germany, niece Wanda Morgan of Fort Smith, AR, nephew George Haskins of Loudon, TN, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Louis Castanedas, Preston Morgan, Tom Phillips, Josh Newton, Aaron Newton and Tyler Miller.
The family will visit with friends Sunday prior to the Rosary from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
