

Wanna B. Coward, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Country Place Senior Living in Athens, Texas. Wanna was born in Greenwood, Arkansas and was retired from Concord Baptist Association where she served for 30 years. She was also a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Joe Coward, and is survived by her only son, Neil Coward and his wife, Jude Coward of Cedar Creek Lake, Texas; a niece, Judy Fisher and her husband, John Fisher of Alma; a nephew, Larry Cochran of Fort Smith and their families.
The family will visit with friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 6, 2023. The funeral service will begin at 12:00pm, with Brother Paul Walker officiating. Immediately following the service, a committal service will be held at the Mausoleum Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park, for those who choose to attend.
Pallbearers will be Clay Fisher, Justin Dedmon, Clay Strawhacker, Rocky Walker, Bob Costner, Tom McNamara.
