Whitney Renee Marsh, 41, wife, mother and daughter, went home to the Lord on Thursday, November 1, 2018. Whitney, a life-long resident of Fort Smith, was an active member of the running, cycling and fitness community, a volunteer in support of children’s advocacy issues with CASA, a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and a close friend to many. Whitney was accomplished in many ways – a graduate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, a certified gemologist, avid cook, and the youngest real estate Broker in the state of Arkansas at age 18 – though she was most fulfilled in her role as mother and wife. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Michael Marsh, children Madison, Heidi, Nicholas, Sarah and Christopher, parents Connie Calhoun and Ron and Gaylene Calhoun, and siblings Stefanie Eoff Meyers, Kimberly Morgan, Melanie Bohlman, Barrett Calhoun and Clayton Calhoun. A Vigil rosary service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 7PM followed by a reception at the Immaculate Conception Youth Building. Her funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 10AM. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sebastian County CASA, 1216 Towson Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901 or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, California 90266 are appreciated.

I remember playing and holding Whitney when she was a baby at dance recital practice one year. It was such a treat to get to know her all these years later and watch our kids grow up together. She always took the time to message me and check up on the family. She made me feel special because she cared. That was Whitney. Beautiful inside and out. I was lucky enough to see her a few weeks ago and catch up. I will miss her dearly. I am so sorry for the family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Whitney through Dr. Marsh. You didn’t have to be around her much to benefit from the positivity and kindness that radiated from her. Just like Dr. Marsh she will forever have an impact on the care and support they have brought to our community.

Whitney was such a bright light in our family. I was always so proud of my niece. She was warm and sweet and kind and you could see all of that every time she smiled. Whitney loved her family; every one of us. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin. All of us are the lesser for her passing

Whitney was such a beautiful person inside and out. Such a lady. Her daughter Madison attended IC with my daughter, Nicole.
I was sad to hear of her passing. Prayers go out for her family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Whitney through tennis. We had a group that would play once a week for the past 2 years. I loved our weekly visits. She was always known in our Fianna neighborhood as the beautiful blonde runner. She always encouraged me to run. Whitney loved her family more than anything. Rest In Peace my beautiful friend. You will be dearly missed! ❤️
