William ¨Bob” Robert Newbold of the Christian faith, age 85, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, peacefully passed away to his heavenly home Monday, July 25, 2022. Following a deep-rooted family tradition of military service, he joined the United States Air Force where he served for twenty years. His passion for freedom and a strong conviction of love of his country were the driving forces behind his years of service. His patriotism inspired him to organize a local tea party and actively share his political passions. He felt blessed to be an American and dedicated his life to creating a better America for his family.
Bob's humble beginnings began on a small tobacco farm in Richlands, NC. His many miles behind a mule plowing tobacco, corn and the gardens were the root of his strong work ethic. After serving in the military he had a successful real estate career from which he retired.
He held his family, friends and community in high regard. He never met a stranger and was always willing to dedicate his time to others. His countless hours volunteering at the national cemetery, cooking for others during times of crisis and always being present at family events brought him the greatest joy. Bob was most often described as a great public servant, hard worker, avid gardener, pancake connoisseur, master handyman, true patriot, storyteller extraordinaire, and proud family man.
