

William Edward Quick, 73 of Ft. Smith passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Van Buren. He was born October 9, 1939 in New Albany, IN to the late William Henry Quick and Cornelia Elizabeth Stipp Quick. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and the City of Ft. Smith as a waste water plant operator. He was also a member of the Amateur Radio Relay League. He was preceded in death by his wife Kay Quick.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 AM Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Inurnment and military honors to follow at the Ft. Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Ft. Smith.
He is survived by his daughter; Wendy Quick of Fort Smith, his son; William E. Quick, Jr. and his wife Sarah of Van Buren, his sister; Judith Ann Rowe of Jeffersonville, IN and his Companion: Connie Jones. He is also survived by one Step-grandson; Matthew Sugg of Van Buren and the children and grandchildren of his companion Connie Jones.
