Aaron "Fess" Joseph Washmuth, age 46, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away at his residence on Sunday, December 3. 2023. He was born October 12, 1977 in Rushville, Indiana to the late Scott Washmuth and Carmalita Shafer. Fess attended Harding High School, Class of '96. He was a dedicated employee of McCoy Bolt Works for the past twenty-four years. He was a passionate sports fan and could often be found cheering on his beloved San Francisco 49'ers and Los Angeles Lakers but cherished time spent with friends and family the most.
Fess is survived by his loving and devoted life partner, Amanda (née Burk) Neate; step-children, Jeremy (Grace) Neate and Meadow Neate; sister, Amanda Shafer; niece, Anyla Shafer; and mother, Carmalita (Jim Prowse) Shafer. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott Washmuth, and brother, Justin Washmuth.
Funeral Service is 11:00 am Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Foster Park, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Friends and family will be received Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment at IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
