

Abel worked at General Motors at the Fort Wayne Assembly Plant for 31 years and retired in 2005.
He was a loving husband, dad, and grandfather. He was well respected by family and friends.
Abel was a craftsman, woodworker, and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed working on cars, reading, cooking, but most of all, he loved to spoil his four grandchildren. He was very close to his siblings and his large extended family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lupe Amador, sons, Abel (Heather) Amador III, Sergio (Zenaida) Amador, all of Fort Wayne, and daughter, Veronica (Essmat) Barazi of Illinois. He is also survived by five brothers, three sisters and four grandchildren.
Abel was preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1502 West Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also from 2:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, with a Rosary at 2:30 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons, Pine Valley Park - Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Committal and Burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
