How could we have known that life as we knew it  would  change that day.

Gone but never  forgotten. 

Dad was the best, its almost a year since we lost him and I still cry daily.  He was the best listener and gave amazing advice. He was kind and warm and always smiling. He taught me never to give up and always put family first.  

We miss you, I hope I see you again one day. 



Fond memories of Lance are the thoughts I'll always keep. He was a kind and gentle soul whose presence will be missed. May God's loving arms welcome him into the world of everlasting life and comfort his love ones as they deal with his loss.

The memory lives on.  I remember you every morning on my morning walk because that was when we used to talk during your illness.  You were so upbeat to the very end.  You are truly missed. May you soul rest in peace 🙏 until we meet again.

I think it was Christmas Eve 1970, Maureen told Peter, Karen and I that you were going to bring us Christmas gifts at 4 o'clock. We were all waiting patiently/impatiently talking about the gift we were going to receive. You came after 6 o'clock with no gifts but was taxed (Jamaica's term for begging) by Karen for some money. It was about that time you started your family with Winnie, so you occasionally stop by the house and check on us. Each year around Christmas and New Year, Peggy would send us money you and Bobby would exchange the empty bottles for sodas and bring beans, sorrel and other stuff like ham, I was then a pork eater (fire bun fi di pork eater) not anymore since the late 70's.

Around the mid 70's there was no vacancy at the Cement Company, so Winnie tried to get a job for Maurice at Tia Maria. That didn't come through but eventually you got a job for him at Cement Company. He was so proud of you; he would tell us how well respected you were at Cement Company. (Man, he had a strong brother crush) we would tease how you could do no wrong in his eyes. Trevor, Carl and I would also work at Cement Company too. People, that's what a big brother does. 



Alanzo Byfield was one of the best father figures I have had the pleasure of knowing.   His home was always open to family (especially me🤭) we created some interesting memories the last time I spent with him.... have you ever removed a toilet and change the bowl wax?  Well thanks to Alanzo I did.  you did your time, left big shoes to fill.  Sleep in peace Al, your work is done.😘😘😘

Thank you for your kindness during our most difficult time of grief.

We miss him dearly but know that God needed extra angels this year.
