

Albert P. "Al" Wargo, 74, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. He was born on March 11, 1951, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and was a son of the late Albert P. and Margaret A. (Purdy) Wargo.
Al graduated from Edison Career & Technology High School in Rochester, New York, and furthered his education at the State University of New York- Brockport. After college, Al joined the U.S. military and served honorably as a sergeant in Vietnam. He was later employed in sales for medical devices and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Shirley (Davis) Wargo of Fort Wayne; sons, Andrew Wargo and Michael Wargo, both of Fort Wayne; grandsons, Jordan Wargo and Jayden Wargo, both of Fort Wayne; brothers, Andy (Barbara) Wargo and Jim Wargo, both of Rochester, New York; sisters, Dorothy (Paul) Madigan and Margie (Steve) Abbott, both of Rochester; and sister-in-law, Marie Curtin of Portland, Oregon. He was also preceded in passing by his brother, Joe Wargo; sister, Betty Law; sister-in-law, Patti Wargo; and brother-in-law, Bob Law.
A funeral service will be at noon on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Pastor Tim Fisher officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Iris Family Support Center, formerly SCAN.
