Obituary of Alex Bojrab
Alex Bojrab, 88, of Fort Wayne left the bonds of earth to touch the face of God on Sunday, January 27, 2013. Born on June 1, 1924 he was the son of the late Albert and Mary Bojrab. Alex was a World War II veteran and retired from International Harvester after 40 years. He graduated from Central High School in 1943 then enlisted in the Army. He is survived by his brother Shuckry (Louise) Bojrab, sister Mary Bojrab Mohre. Nephews David (Marcia) Mohre, Nick (Cathy) Mohre, Adam (Deb) Bojrab, John (Deanna) Mohre, and Steve Mohre. Nieces April (Jeff) Shaw and Jodi (Phil) Walters. Great Nieces and Nephews Trudi, Stacey, Tim, Carly, Travis, Nichelle, Nilah, Nilesha, Amara, Tye, Brendon, Calvin, and Spencer. Alex was preceded in death by his brother Joseph, and brother-in-law Charles Mohre. Alex was founding member of the Christ Child Festival and served on its board for 61 years until his death. He was also a member of the Travelers Protective Association, Civitan, Wayne Lodge #25, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Mizpah Shrine, YMCA where he was a member for 72 years, American Legion, VFW and proud supporter of Special Olympics. He enjoyed dining at Hall’s restaurants and the Fort Wayne Truck Plaza, visiting with the many friends and acquaintances he had met. Funeral Service is 10:00 am Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:00 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
