Alfred J Lamb

Alfred J. Lamb, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the age of 80. Alfred was born on March 20, 1946, in Lancaster, Kentucky, to Alfred Benjamin Lamb and Margaret Elizabeth (Coyle) Lamb. He worked as a roofer, and when he wasn't working, Alfred loved to fish and spend time with his grandkids, and great grandkids, whom he loved dearly. Alfred was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Alfred is survived by his wife of 47 years, Tammy Jo Lamb; his children, Terry (Stacey) Lamb, Tandra (Matt) Harris, Trisha Lamb, Tara (David) Liechty, and Larry Lamb. He is also survived by his grandkids, Kira Lamb, Cassie Harris, Abbagail Harris, Jamesaustin (Kersha) Harris, Josie (Peter) Simmon, Brieonnah (Corbin) Archer, Olivia Lamb, Falicitie (Cyrus) Little, and Jalen Browning; his great grandkids, Daisy, Acaylias, Greyson, Amelia, and Jamesoliver; and his siblings, Loretta Madru, Lonnie Lamb, and Brenda Meyers. Alfred is preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Shepherd; his grandson, Tyler Lamb; and his siblings Sheila Lamb and Kevin Lamb.

Services for Alfred will be held at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM with Pastor Peter Simmon to begin the service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Lamb, Jalen Browning, Cyrus Little, David Liecthy, Peter Simmon, and Jamesaustin Harris. Donations can be made directly to the family of Alfred.
