Alice graduated from DeSoto County High School in Florida.
Alice was married to Butch Jonson in May of 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter Teter and Annabel Teter; her brothers, Mark Teter and Porter Teter Jr.; and her husband, Butch Johnson.
Alice found steady joy in simple, meaningful pleasures—camping, boating, and time spent outdoors. She was also a devoted sports fan, cheering for the Chicago Bears, the Miami Dolphins, and Notre Dame. In the comforts of home, her care and creativity showed through in her baking and crocheting, and in the fondness she held for anything in her favorite color, purple.
Those who will remember Alice include her daughter, Cheri (Chris) Ward of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her son, Wayne (Jennifer Aken) Wood of Boomfield, Indiana; her son, Michael Johnson of San Diego, California; and her daughter, Jasmine Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chris Jr., Kira, Crystal, and Deeshawon, as well as several nieces and nephews.
