Alice Marie Stone

Alice Marie Stone, age 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025. She was born November 9, 1943, in Fort Wayne to the late Earl and Edna (née Reynolds) Ramsey. Alice attended South Side High School and married the love of her life, John E. Stone, on June 18, 1961. She explored various careers over the years, but loved her job assembling circuit boards for I.T.T. Industries prior to her retirement.

She had many hobbies and interests . . . doodling, drawing, watercolor art, crocheting and was an avid collector of all things. She was passionate about animals, including strays, and especially loved watching her beloved hummingbirds, but cherished time spent with family the most. Alice lived a selfless, sacrificial life for her family, penning notes of encouragement, forehead kisses, audible cheek smoochies, and she dearly loved preparing feasts for her family, including Sunday breakfasts.

Alice is survived by her loving and devoted husband, John E. Stone, Sr.; children, Shirley Marie Hickman, John E. Stone, Jr., and Kimberly Mae (Jessie Rosas) Stone; nine beloved grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her eleven siblings, Rusty, Earl, Dickey, Edna, Elsie, Annie, Margie, Middie, Ruthie, Dolly, and Hilda; and furbaby, Brandy. Among these family members, Alice has many nieces, nephews, and cousins she loved and who love her dearly.

Funeral Service is 6:00 pm, July 2, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
