Amanda M. Rigsby, 47, of South Whitley passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center after a five year battle with cancer. She was born October 18, 1976 in Fort Wayne to the late Neil Dean and Karen Ann (Andofer) Fett. Amanda family was her everything, especially her grandbabies and Newman, her Chihuahua Terrier mix dog. She was a very caring and generous person with a wonderful personality. Before her illness, Amanda enjoyed dancing and going out. In the last few years, during her courageous battle with cancer, she still had a love for music, online shopping, watching her favorite T.V. shows like Big Brother, The Bachelor and her Soap Operas. She enjoyed cooking and eating out with her family. One of her favorites was Auntie Anne Pretzels. She is survived by her life partner Luis Lopez, who stood by her side until the very end; daughter Adrianna Lopez; son Nathanael Lopez; two grandchildren, Mayleeah and Declan Lopez, all of South Whitley; sisters Rhonda (Kevin) Pulley, Alice Fett and Jennifer Butler; nephews, Isaiyah Butler, Shane Logan, Cameron Logan, Joshua Fett and her favorite, Austin Logan and a brother in law, Mike Logan. She was preceded in death by a son, Kurt Rigsby. Cremation will take place and the family will celebrate Amanda’s life at a later date.
