AMY LOUISE (BANKS) LONGENECKER, 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022, from open heart surgery complications. Amy went to Bethlehem Lutheran and Concordia High School where she graduated Valedictorian. She graduated from Purdue University, first with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Mathematics minor in May of 1972, then with a Master of Science in Psychology with a Human Learning minor in December of 1972. In May of 1980, Amy would graduate from Indiana University with an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming. Humble and meek, is how her husband described Amy. She was very much a Christian woman, who liked reading her Bible as well as other similar topics. Amy was a very loving wife who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. "Rest in peace, my love, until we will be resurrected at Jesus' return. All my love, forever." She is proceeded in death by her parents, Paul Marion and Madelyn Irene Banks. Surviving Amy are her husband of 40 years, Rick; and her sister, Martha Banks of Chicago. A private service will be held at a later date.
