Amy Sue (Glesing) Scott, 57, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 8, 2018, after fighting a hard and brave battle with cancer for over a year. Born on July 26, 1960 in Beech Grove, Ind., she was a daughter of and will be cherished forever by her parents, Richard and Barbara (Harover) Glesing, who survive. She graduated from Perry Meridian High School and attended Indiana University. She was employed by Northwestern Mutual before becoming a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed cruises, traveling, dining out, playing mahjong and bridge, and had a great passion for dogs. She was especially grateful for the time that she volunteered with Lilly, a Golden Retriever, as a therapy team. She will be greatly missed by her husband, James Scott. She was a wonderful mother to David, Christopher, and Ashley Scott. She was a loving sister to Randall Glesing, Phillip (Darrell Fishel) Glesing, Jeffrey (Lea) Glesing, and Timothy (Bobbi) Glesing. She will also be missed by nephews, Noah, Jonah and Caleb Glesing. She will never be forgotten by her aunts, uncles, cousins, good friends, and her mahjong and bridge groups. "The family would like to extend a very special thank you to all the nurses and staff members at Heartland Hospice that took very good care of her." Funeral service is 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation is from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the funeral home. Jim and Family:

My deepest personal condolences and that of the members of our CCGC golf group for the loss of your ROCK Amy.

I will always remember our Vegas CCGC golf trip where AMY was our guardian Angel and Den Mother.

The look on her face when Billy B "stole" her French fries at The Mirage was priceless.

Thank you so much for all the photos posted. They brought smiles and tears. It was such a treat to see Aunt Janet and Mom again where they were included. I especially adored the ones from Amy and Jimmy’s wedding. I was largely occupied that day with keeping our then six week old Matt quiet and happy, but oh what a joyful day it was! Look down with your wonderful smile upon us, Ame. You were deeply loved and are greatly missed. 💖

This is a great picture of Amy, Jim, and Denise that I think highlights the great friendship Amy had with my Denise. I'm sure that they are great pals again now that they are together.

My heartfelt sympathies to Jim and children, and to the entire Glesing family. I felt like part of the Glesing family for many years and treasure ALL the special memories Amy and I shared growing up on West Hill Valley Drive. I’m so happy Amy and I were able to connect on social media and stay in touch frequently over the past several years. God bless you all. Cheryl and Ed
