Andrew Michael Shuster (known as Andy to friends and family) left us on November 7, 2023 in Fort Wayne, Indiana-he was 61 years old. Born on January 25, 1962, to Jay and Sally (Flood) Shuster, Andy attended Bishop Luers High School-graduating in 1980. Andy met Carleen Blackburn in the mid-1980's, while working in Battle Creek, Michigan. By 1991, they started a family of their own; Andy was a loving father to his two children-Nick and Maggie Shuster. An avid reader, one could always find him at the library. He was a gentle and exceedingly thoughtful being, who never had anything negative to say about anyone, except for Ohio State. He found peace and community by volunteering at Freimann Square Ministry. Andy was a soft-spoken man with a kind word for everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Sally. He is survived by his children, Nick and Maggie, both of Hastings, Michigan. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Dede and Jeff Bryan; nieces and nephews, Hannah (Sam) Melnick; Max (Kate) Bryan; Maddie (Scott) Prewitt and Amelia Bryan; and many grand nieces and nephews. A private celebration of life will be held for him at a later date.
