

Annette Louise Diemer, 84, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was taken in to the arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 16, 2026. She was born December 4, 1941, in Fort Wayne, and was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Sophia A. (Reinking) Diemer. Annette graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in 1959 and was employed as an executive assistant with Lutheran Social Service of Indiana for 50 years, retiring in 2009. She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and sang in the church choir for over 50 years, beginning in the 3rd grade. Annette served as president of Lutheran Single Adults and Concordia Lutheran High School Alumni Association. Annette was honored in 1999 to be the first recipient of the Maxine Rippe Award from the Raymond Rosenberger Award Foundation, nominated by The Lutheran Foundation for "diligent and faithful service." In 2013, she received the Distinguished Alumni Award for dedicated support, activity, and service to the ministry of Concordia Lutheran High School. Surviving family include Meg Busse, Jennifer (Timothy) Labbs, Valerie Hamilton, and Matthew (Ariel) Hamilton, five grand nephews and two grand nieces. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her sisters, Ruth Ann Heck and Marilyn Busse. A memorial service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 South Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior. Annette will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
