Annie was the very definition of a Southern lady—gracious, kind, and full of quiet strength. She loved Texas deeply, and she carried that pride with her everywhere she went. Whenever she met someone from outside the state, she would warmly say, “I’m Annie Bingham, and I’m from Texas.” It was more than an introduction—it was her identity.
She held a special place in her heart for Burleson, where she was born and raised. Annie grew up on a 60-acre family farm just northwest of town in the same home where she entered this world on December 14, 1937. Those roots shaped the woman she became—grounded, loving, and proud of her heritage.
Annie will be remembered for her warmth, her grace, and the genuine way she cared for others. She had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and at home. Her love for Texas, her family, and her friends was steady and true.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob Thrifty Bingham Sr. and Pearlie Louann (Sikes) Bingham; siblings, Jacob Thrifty “JT” Bingham Jr. and Corporal Kile Bingham.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
After visitation, Annie will return home to Texas to lay at rest with her parents at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, TX.
