Anthony Joseph Herber

Anthony J. Herber, 78, passed away Sunday September 14, 2014. He was born in Fort Wayne and was the son of the late Walter and Adele Herber. He retired from International Harvester after 30 years of service and owned A.J. Herber Carpet Cleaning. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church - Hessen Cassel.

Surviving are his children Heidi Herber of Angola, Daniel (Tara) Herber, and Justin Herber; grandchildren Scout, Sofi, Breann and Kendall Herber; sisters Teresa Davis and Gertrude Herber; brothers Hubert and Charles Herber. He is preceded in death by his wife; Elaine Herber and sister; Bernadette Kelly.

Services will be at 11:00 Wednesday September 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Hessen Cassel 11337 Old US Hwy 27 S, Ft. Wayne with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Visitation is also 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home 6424 Winchester Rd. A Rosary service will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery - Hessen Cassel.
