Arthur Rice Jr was born on December 12, 1932, in Starkville Mississippi to parents Arthur Rice senior and Arlena Rice Stallings. He spent his life building a legacy of love, hard work, and cultivating lasting and meaningful relationships.
As the middle son of five boys, Arthur grew up sharp and resilient and accepted Christ at a young age. Arthur moved from Starkville to Fort Wayne, Indiana just two years following the Second World War and went on to pursue an extremely successful career at the famed General Motors Plant. Arthur proudly boasts an amazing 54-year tenure with GM before his retirement in 1997.
Arthur met and married Winifred Ann Burnett in the fall of 1955. The two built a life together for five sons, before she went on to glory in 1996. Arthur later remarried Lucille Beasley in the fall of 2020, blending their families together with her four sons and four daughters.
Arthur was known for his strong character as well as his vibrant and charismatic personality. An avid huntsman, Arthur spent many a quiet morning enjoying the serenity and seclusion of the great outdoors alongside his faithful german shepherd, Lady. He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with and cooking for his family. He was considered by many to be a grill master.
