She graduated from New Haven High School in 1964.
Barbara is survived by her children, Tamara (David) Joefreda, Thomas E. Fischer Jr. and Laurie (Jeffrey) Geisleman; grandchildren, Nathan Perez, Mackenzie (Logan) McDirmit, Alyssa Henry, Mason Henry; great-grandchildren, Malikai Perez and Carson McDirmit; and brother, Walter (Cathea) Langley Jr.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Walter J. Langley Sr; her husband, Thomas E. Fischer Sr.; and sister, Patricia Lautzenheiser.
Visitation will be at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804, on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 1:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Preferred memorial donations may be directed to Humane Fort Wayne in memory of Barbara.
