Barbara Marie Nelson, 80, passed away November 8, 2024 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born July 10, 1944, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of the late James and Irene Harmeyer. Barbara graduated from New Haven High School in 1962.
She worked at International Harvester for several years and also at the Indiana Women’s State Prison for over 10 years. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Richard Nelson, son Kevin Ramsey, grandson, Benjamin Ramsey, sisters Sue (John) Furniss, Sandy Macon, brothers Terry and Dennis Harmeyer.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Harmeyer and sister, Denice King.
Memorial Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, December 5, 2024 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1126 S. Barr Street Fort Wayne, Ind. with visitation one hour prior.
